Anyone affected by all this smoke?

Looks like several million acres are on fire up there. Same as last year.

My view to the Northern Colorado Front Range. I can normally see all of Fort Collins/Loveland/etc, but not now.

Right in the heart of it, thick as fuck. Can almost chew it. Mid Alberta. Jasper was just evacuated last night. We had a very strong wind coming from East to West (Which isnt a normal wind path for us) last night.

lot of the smoke is also coming out of Oregon right now.
just 3 of the fires in western OR total over 1/2 million acres.

and Jasper has trouble both north and south of town

We’ve got bad smoke here, but some is local-ish. Can’t see the Bridgers from my house. Less than 10 miles away.

Got a bunch of smoke from Canada/Oregon/local-ish fires.

Few times a day I see blues skies, but it’s mostly just smoke/haze.

Been smokey for a few days here. There is a fire up by Wenatchee that one of our guys headed out to this am as a contractor. We have a couple crews for cleanup waiting on the call to head wherever as well. Bad year for fires, not that there is a good year but you know what I mean. :homer:

currently up in northern Alberta. there is fires south, west and north of us about 6km (3.7 miles) from our plant site. we have been at essential staff levels for the last 2 weeks. highways going into mcmurray were closed last night but i think one opened back up and there is an evacuation alert for parts of ft mcmurry due to a fire south west of town.

Little hazy here, not as bad as some years. And it's not going to be in triple digits for awhile.

Buddy was up there with his rig during the big fire. Deal was the company took their plates, and they could fill from the tanks on site. Bussed back and forth to site, rigs stay on site. The company was gonna have them evacuated and leave the rigs out there until someone pointed out that every truck, welder, and tidy tank was full, and they were parked at the woodline. They ended up...getting....a bus, going and getting their trucks, and driving south. Apparently for weeks there were welding rigs with no plates all over western Canada:laughing:

Good...this will cut down on global warming!

Not bad yet here, just a wee bit.

It's pretty smokey here at the moment. Wind isn't really blowing much either, which isn't helping matters.
