We had 5 rigs show up and it was a great time. Weather was about as nice as you could hope for this time of the year and the rigs were solid. No real carnage and I feel like we covered some good ground.
On Friday we rolled out at 9:30am. We ran Door Smasher and B.A.R. then followed a fairly freshly cut new connector trail that dropped into another trail that I think might have been Hairball. Then we went up another trail that I don't know the name of that connected to Mammoth instead of jumping on the highway to the normal drop in point. Made it back to camp around 3:30PM and relocated down south for the next day.
On Saturday we headed out again at 9:30am and stopped by Spillway first, but no one was feeling froggy enough to hit it first thing in the morning so we continued on up to Can Opener. No one tried to attempt the big waterfall unassisted, so we got everyone winched up it then headed over to Warpath. Daniel tried like hell to get up the big waterfall unassisted and got pretty close a few times, but ended up pulling cable. Jason also gave it a solid attempt and was pretty close as well, but in the end, everyone winched it. We ended up making it back to camp around 5:00pm.
After dinner, a few of us wanted to do a night run, so we left camp around 7:30pm and tried to run Burnt Out, but I guess it is really just the obstacle at the end?
We ran the extension as well that I have heard referred to as "Man Up". We also ran Last Chance as well as the new loop that just got broken near the end of Last Chance. Then we headed over to Shortcut ran it and decided we were feeling good and were going to take Crystal Canyon over to Frame Twister and Minefield. One of the buggies ran out of gas halfway up the waterfall on Crystal
we disconnected the fuel line on the other buggy and cycled the fuel pump to fill water bottles to transfer fuel. After getting close to two gallons in one pint at a time, we finished out Crystal and returned via Sidewinder and got back to camp right around 12:15am. Solid night
