What's new

"built" zuk axles?

Throw some resistance on the ring gear and run it again.

Looks like it is too deep from what I can see.

Use your palm to apply drag to the ring gear while spinning the pinion with the other hand. The more resistance the more clear the pattern marking will be.

I did actually know that, just figured I'd post as is pics

Edit: here's some better pattern pics. Man the pinion is hard to turn and rough, what a joke :homer:

Fwiw, this is a low pinion front

So I'm in the garage working on the rear axle and decided to spin this with a drill to see what would happen.

After maybe 30 seconds each direction, it's way harder to spin, in fact, I can barely move it by hand. :mad3:

I kinda knew this would happen, but he said "it will break in"

Really frustrated with all the hacks out there. If you don't know what you're doing, stay the fuck out of it. :homer:

So I dropped the 3rd off at a real shop, not only was the setup wrong, the pinion bearings were bad :homer:

Anyway, got my TT order today. Apparently the no name shafts on their website are just trail gear.... Oh well, hopefully they're better than stock at least.
