Picked up a new to me 2013 F250. Needs a brake controller. Just install an OEM controller for simplicity? Or is there something super sexy in the aftermarket that is superior?

I keep buying used primus iq controllers off ebay

What kind of trailer do you need to brake?

Ebay usually has used units with all the kit and caboodle for good prices

The factory controller in my '15 Ram 2500 works better than any of the aftermarket ones I've used. I'd look into the OEM setup.

Tekonsa p3 is what I've used for about 20 years

Yep I have one in a Jeep, they work good. Lots of adjustability.

The OEM ford controller in my 150 is way better though. If you can get one I'd definitely go that route.

If you can't do an OEM one (it all depends on the options the truck has and if forScan can turn it on) I would get a Red Arc one.
I like them because they are small.

Id go with OEM, seem to work better than 75% of the aftermarket one's. Plus it should be plug and play.

I wouldn't fuck with any non-oem option personally, if anything just for the cleanliness of the installation. The prodigy P1 I run in my pickup works great but if I could not have shit hanging off the dash, I would.

I have this one, no problems, easy install.

It's their fault you suck at mounting stuff?
