What's new

Boss wants a drone.

Damn, that is a huge area.

I wonder if there a hacked firmware to disable all the remote ID shit?

I am sure there is but I would NEVER install such a thing and circumvent the laws and regulations of my country, state, country and city!!!

Under 500 is because planes aren't supposed to be flying lower aside from take off and landing, emergencies and a few other special cases. 1000ft over populated areas like a town.

I contacted the FFA about it due to many planes almost daily damn near clipping trees on my land and it somehow turned into that I was in the wrong to use a drone in my land. Yeah....

Low enough at times the walls rattle in my place and the dog goes to hide.

Somedays it's so bad I can't make phone calls or work outside without ear pro on. No idea rhyme or reason in busy vs quiet days. Might be dead silent most of a day or sound like a ww2 air raid. Sometimes at 0200 even so of course that wakes me up.

There's a law about planes not allowed to affect the normal use and enjoyment of a property but the FFA gives zero fucks.

And no, I don't live in line with a runway 🤣 airport is like 2 miles away and just for the little kazoos with wings that can take off or land in like 100ft.

Did you tell the FFA that the planes were scaring livestock or damaging crops?

That's nothing. They're everywhere.

Here's one example of being locked out.

Fixed the link

Yeah? i have never looked into it. I may have to for science!!

If you don't mind sending money to someone in slovakia...

Also some good stuff here

Curious how long these actually last though. DJI was always pretty good about forcing updates and would lock you out if the app hadn't checked in with the mothership within a certain period of time. Sounds like they use a hacked version of the app as well so as long as you don't update anything w/ DJI, I guess it'll bypass all those checks.

So far my take on the pro4 as a beginner.

RC remote hands down. Fuck using a phone.
Obstacle avoidance needs better sensitivity
1 RC charge only lasts as long as 4 drone bats so 4 is the magic bat quantity
Quick shots and all that other auto shit requires really good planning and a lot of room/time. Manual maneuvering is best for my situations. I need to get that down
Camera quality blows my mind.
Go ahead and get the ND filters. These things have fixed aperture.
Drones makes those shots you wanted over the years possible. Even with minimal elevation. I don't think of it as a drone. To me it's a camera.

I like it. No regrets

Has every driver I've needed so far. The tweezers are necessary as some screws are stainless.

Hell yeah, I'm an irate so...

The obstacle avoidance is a joke. My tendency to chase blue Jay's out of my yard is strong. Noisy fuckers.

It's holding up pretty good though.

The neo came out today, Flys with a joystick and works with the fpv goggles, looks nest for action and fast paced shooting

I saw that I think. Has voice control and an app? , I think 200$ or is it another one?

Edit:
Yeah that's the one. It's more for selfie follows and blogging or whatever.

Yep $200, 289 for the combo, motion controller another 99 and if you want the goggles (could be neat for getting perfect shots) its another 399. That's a lot but it's more of a sport/rec drone

Also just for fun

I want a Mini Pro for exactly what you’re talking about. My wife and I are shit at taking pics of ourselves, but we do some cool stuff. Then one time I went on a moto trip with my super techy buddy. He had a Mini 3 Pro that had just come out. He could have that fucker out of the bag and airborne in 90 seconds, taking pics of the group in 2 min. You suddenly realize how powerful a cordless tripod is that can just park itself wherever you tell it. That’s why I watch FBMP for them. And I’d have to have that screen on the controller. My old DJI Spark needs updated every time I pull it out, is a shit show to pair to the phone, and takes 10 min of fuckery to do the same thing. And has shit camera resolution.

So, for me, this would be a whizbang way to take more pics of my wife and I, that would be easy to carry on the bikes or sxs. Or on hikes, for that matter. The other drone usage stuff is secondary.

Exactly. The problem I'm having though is controlling my urge to do dumb shit. It's necessary to get use to the controller though. At least that's what I'm telling myself.

I'd pull the trigger on that Neo if my RC2 would work with it. 😥

If you are on bikes or sxs a lot the follow me function works very well. You can have it in front of you looking back or to the side of you too, very neat when moving fast in open areas

Fast?? On a motorcycle?? What sort of psychopath are you? Now, if it can keep up as I’m shredding at 10mph down a trail, that would be cool. :lmao:

Double goddamnit! I was all ready to buy one until .i figured out it just used the phone for a controller. Pretty tempted by some of the refurbished ones on their website though.

I meant fast on the sxs, dirt bikes would be a blast if not a lot of trees- either way the quality is super nice now and you can pull stills from the video. This is when I first got the mavic at the now closed park by me
