Anything I should know about carbs on a Mercury 90HP outboard motor?
Have a boat that I am trying to sell and it appears that 2 of the 3 carbs are flooding and overflowing out their intakes.

It's on a 1970 18' StarCraft Holiday (closed bow, aluminum boat) that I am trying to get running so I can sell it for my Mom and Aunt (looooong story, they bought it together as a gift for someone and it didn't work out).
Currently it starts, runs for a few mins (if you have the throttle up), then dies out with fuel dripping from the lower two carb intakes.

Anyone dealt with one of these? Looks like the bowl is on the right side and hould drop out with a couple of screws, but I don't know if I will need gaskets, or what.

Nice setup, i had an ss w a 70 merc blue label.
Parts are a bit hard to come by.
Enjoy

Seems like they have to come apart no matter what, the carbs in my 115 merc don't drip while in the down position and running.

I'd recommend taking them apart and finding out what you need, then ordering all the parts. It leaves things taken apart slightly longer, but if you order first then take them apart, you'll break/notice something that you'll have to end up ordering anyway. Just get after it.

That's the tentative plan, I was hoping there was something simple I'd missed, last thing I want right now is another project to have in a hundred small pieces, but I need it gone...
