I’m looking for a fast boat. I see several of these cigarette style boats without windshields. Example

The boat looks nice, but I don’t understand why no windshield. Has anybody rode in one of these? Does the slanted fiberglass where the windshield should be direct the wind over your head? It might look sporty, but I really don’t want to be blasted by 60 mph wind.

My bro, that specific vessel has been sunk. Runs dont walks.

Generally speaking, those fairings should knock most of the wind down but you'll see for yourself during the water test

Also, might want to avoid anything that says baja on the side

I thought you were married? :flipoff2:

They aren't terrible to ride in but think of them like a convertible with a backseat, might be nice to have passengers but it sucks riding in the back. If your serious about go fast boats then head over to offshoreonly.com and start looking at the pro's and con's of each brand. Dream boat is still a 47' Apache

I don’t know if I would call myself serious. I just want a cool boat that does at least 45 mph. I don’t want to spend too much on it. I would really like to keep it under 10 grand, but not finding much at that price.

I will check out the site.

Same concept just a jet boat. And the results:

I would look for a mid 90's ish Mastercraft prostar or similar. Itll have a 351 probaby and do 40ish, but they are workhorses.

It'll get him to the bottom of it.

Bigstic , sounds like boat pron
Could never justify one so I just take my little 18' Tracker out and hit some 1 foot swells and pretend I'm going 45mph :flipoff2:

As for a $10k spend limit....yeah don't go to that other site:lmao::lmao:

I don't mind getting blasted by the wind on a jet ski or race car, but on a boat where I'm trying to do boat stuff on the ocean it can get damn cold and fast. That shit can get miserable.
