Now that the dust has settled on the conversation surrounding people littering in public places, the time is ripe to segue to the next social ill befalling modern American society: bluetooth speakers. In Public.

I don't get, for the life of me, how people give so few Fs about their fellow man, as to loudly play their music when surrounded by other people. The beach, the park, shared pools, I've even seen(heard) someone hiking with a G-D bluetooth speaker hanging from their belt. 9 times of out 10 it's always the obnoxious, modern "country" music which is absolute trash.

Is this just me? I don't get why this is so, so common.

Edit-- adding to this, are the great points of watching videos on speaker in similar circumstances. Like restaurants. Speaker phone conversations, facetime, etc-- All equally obnoxious.

Let's add talking on speaker phone while holding your phone 3 inches in front of your face like it's a serving platter.

Just put it in handset mode and use the phone like we all did for a hundred years.

Things like this are the entire reason I travel with Steve. Steve does not like rude people on phones.

Music to my ears.

Get it?

I'll see myself out.

Nothing is new.
Before bluetooth speakers we has the BOOMBOX.
Before texting and driving we had the case of 8 tracks we were shuffling through.
Before that, we had the cherry to a cigarette landing in our crotch.

Head on down to Crossbar Ranch in southern OK. Near camp, there will typically be an apparent simultaneous decibel competition with 4 competing mariachi songs.

For us it's illegals in full cowboy dress strutting along at parks/bike paths/etc. The women dutifully pull coolers along a few paces behind with speakers on top blaring the latest mexipolka.

In our part of CA the third world was imported to the point that the paisas aren't the only ones crapping where they eat. Something something broken window theory something.

THIS! Also add mother fuckers on face time walking around to this rant. It used to only being hood rats that I saw doing this, however I now primarily see boomers doing this FaceTime or speaker phone bullshit while taking up the entire aisle at Publix/loews/home Depot/target etc. learn how to use your phone properly gramps, text like a normal person:laughing::flipoff2:

Can't stand that shit. In a doctor's office waiting room, grocery store, anywhere. Fucking rude as fuck

I hike a lot and I see this on trails at least every 3-4 hikes. On the beltloop, hanging of a Camelpack, or on a necklace. LOUD! I did tell a guy a while back that headphones are pretty cheap ya know. He just laughed and walked off with his god awful, autotuned, ghetto rap shit where every other word is fuck

Fuck these people but I also get annoyed if anyone in the grocery store line even talks to me for any reason. :flipoff2::flipoff2:

Coworker sits in breakroom scrolling tic toc videos full blast on his phone while the Tv is on. People are just trying to have lunch in peace. We have mentioned it to him and he just gets more obnoxious. Douchbag! He is also the guy cutting everybody off leaving the employee parking garage.

It always bugged me when I'd hike or mountain bike and there were people on the trails blasting music as though everyone else came out to nature to hear their music. Saw a new one yesterday hiking with the wife though- there was a couple using a bluetooth speaker to blast a true crime podcast while hiking.

I do that but my ear speaker is screwed up so can't hear shit.

Must not be a blue collar job.

We had a guy doing that. One of the old timers grabbed the phone and threw it across the room.
