How good are their inverter generators? Need one that does 220 so it will run my well.

Edit: 1/2hp well, probably only draws ~900watts on startup.

The refurb 7500 looks like a screaming price at $500. What am I missing?

We have the 3500 harbor freight inverter generator at work. It has around 150 hours on it, no real complaints. It's good on gas but still only has a 12 hour tank. Bigger would be better

Thanks, was $375 with the discount code. I wanted a honda or something but that was to cheap
i've seen that brand on Slickdeals. No horror stories. basically the same routine of do a couple early oil changes, throw in a magnetic oil drain plug if you can find one, and run it. pretty sure 80% of the cheap inverters come out of teh same factory with minor differences

I've got a 2k already or that 4k would be on its' way to my house too

I think that one factory in China makes them all then rebadgeds them into whatever flavor. I have two westinghouse ones 2500 and 4500 that were half price of the hf version. They have been great, only get used at jobs but don’t have any complaints, was actually surprised at how quiet they are for the price.

I've had that one for about 15 years. I always run it dry. It still cranks on the first pull, even though I only use it once every one or two years now.

I was in HF today. I forgot to see if they had any of the discontinued 72" toolboxes.

Benchmark has 10% off and some kind of free gift with code: BF2023

I'm still on the fence about spending any more money with them, seem like decent stuff but they're a little shady. Barnes has 15% off site wide.

TMR's Black Friday deals. 20% off dimple die sets. 40% off a few 3/4 link frame mount kits. Some tool storage and organization deals too.

shady? haven't heard that. what is shady with them?
I probably shouldn't let it get to me, but I bought their TJ gas tank skid plate with the same BF deal last year. I had some issues installing it. I wrote a thorough, well thought out, and detailed review. Provided measurements, and how either they or a future purchaser of the product could make it easier to install. I didn't even give it a terrible review, 3 out 5 stars, said I'd give it higher if they fixed the issue. They deleted my review. We had some email correspondence back and forth, but they quit responding. It's their sandbox, they can do what they want with it. I actually trusted the reviews there before this experience.

I wanted to get the Swag set this year when they do the cyber monday deal, but shipping and duty wrecks the deal.

How do those compare to the Swag dies?
Is it possible to use a bolt instead of an enerpac or press for the smaller sizes?

I bought one after a hurricane knocked our power out. We ran it on and off for 4 or 5 days without any issues. The quality looks pretty good, I would buy another one. Ours is the 7500 dual fuel.

what were you running?

It looks like 7500 is the minuimum I can justify for well, freezer, electric water heater. I'd really like a 10K, but those are 3x the cost:homer:

Roark Supply usually has a Black Friday one day sale on flap discs and cut off wheels.

A couple of temp window units, fridge/freezer, t.v, lights etc not a huge load.

Wife is talking me into the HF 9500 inverter unit :eek:

I know it's big enough,and it's 12dB quieter.

End goal is to have it under a leanto away from the house anyway, :homer: but I don't want to hear it run

Can you prove it? If so, what they did was illegal and they may be liable to pay you if you pursue it. Around 42K per offense.

It's part of the black friday sale at $600 off of the regular price. I bought one earlier this year to replace my loud 6000w 11hp generator. I haven't put a full load on it yet, but it's nice and quiet for the wattage it's capable of handling.

Yeah, I still have the emails. They said they, "unpublished your review for the time being as I am having our lead design engineer take a look into the problems you addressed." That's been about 2 months ago, maybe they're still "looking into it."

I'm looking for a Hack & Tap SYE for a NP242J, looks like Iron Rock Offroad is the only one doing a yoke style anymore.

If anyone sees an Iron Rock Offroad BF/CM promo or knows of another vendor, pass it along my way please.

Iron rock are good people. I know the owner pretty well. He bought a buddies rc crawler company so he's at all the big events. If Jason sells it it's good shit, they'll also do custom stuff if you need a tweak to something.

that's the admission of violation of FTC code. Tell them you have a lawyer looking at this.
