OK so I have a 95 f150 4x4. Swapped in bronco fixed flange bw1356 with vss relocation to run a 9in rearend since e4od needs vss off rearaxle to shift and speedo to work. Now doing this resulted in rear driveshaft to be needing to be 63" long with slip yoke in the driveshaft. Now I have an 85 f250 rear shaft I could have modified to save money BUT the carrier bearing seems small and I haven't found a urethane or solid aftermarket carrier bearing for jt. Now I'm wanting to find a factory driveshaft at the junkyard I can have shortened and/or lengthened and yoke changed I'd required, needing 1330 tcase since and 1350 at 9in. Now what oem application has a good 2 piece shaft that I can have modified with a strong carrier bearing upgrade available and slip yoke in the rear shaft like toyota and some others run NOT a slip yoke on straight rear driveshaft at carrier bearing. Or is the factory ford style good and has a urethane carrier bearing upgrade available and slip only has like 2-1/2" of spline which i can make work but may need more? I personally like the slip and everything fully in the rear driveshaft like a slip style 1 piece shaft would have

Trying to save some money here without having local driveline shop source everything and spend over $1000. Or what's a good kit I can purchase and have them just cut, weld and balance it?

Attached photos of style of driveshaft i have.

Fire up rockauto and find out if there's a 99-04 that uses a carrier bearing.

That'll net you 1410 and on on 4.425 flanges at both ends with compatible pilots for your t-case and 9" (assuming you buy a 9" flange with a standard Ford pilot).

So my local driveshaft shop says he doesn't like to do a 61" shaft length since it gets vibrations and harmonics on freeway. Any experience with that

The obvious answer is to cut down your wheelbase to fit the driveshaft you want. Your extra cab short bed is already 10 inches too long at least.

Keeping full factory body fenders uncut bed etc not going extreme cage or anything like that on this one

Depends on the tube size

Would be 3.5" x .083 from Tom Wood's 1350 Series Conventional Driveshaft

I'd build that shaft all day. Have it made with a 1.5in stub and slip. It's only 48.5in of tube

10,000 rpm critical speed
3,450 torsional yeild
