The computer I used to have my copy of Bend-Tech on was damaged by water. I am trying to set up a new computer with it now. I had a backup file saved of my settings but only now realized that, when you back up your machine library in the version of BT that I used to have, it does not actually back up the bender settings. This is very disappointing because it took hundreds of dollars of wasted tube and days on the phone with BT support trying to get the JD M4 settings correct. (BT has some sort of issue with the M4 bender specifically that makes setup contrary to their instructions and they had a very hard time figuring it out.)

So does anyone have a backup file for a JD M4 bender or even just a list or screenshot of their confirmed-working settings that they can share?

Are you talking about the angle that it starts bending at and the spring back? I don't have BT , but I have that info written on each die set I have (1", 1.25", 1.50", 1.75", 2.00", all .120"wall).

Can you pull the hard drive out of your old computer and grab the BT settings file(s) to put on your new computer?

Well, that's another issue, the option to actually pull up the menu to enter those settings is disabled on my copy of BT right now. I'm currently working with support to try to figure out why that is, so I can't go in and list the settings I need right now. But I recall there were a bunch of settings for the bender itself, such as start from beginning, middle, or end of bend, etc. Those are what I'm referring to.

I threw the entire computer away after it got fried thinking I already had those files, only now realizing that those files did not include bender settings. IIRC, there used to be an option to export all yout tool, material, and bender setting to a file. Those are the files I have now, but they include everything except the bender info, which was what was most important to me.

It's been years since I used the software, so I'm going completely off of memory right now. So forgive me if I'm not recalling things correctly.
