Seriously, this is a must watch. Its INSANE that first ine was in 1988 and this one in 2024 and I swear, its as if they were made maybe a year apart.

Keaton is in 100% character like it was yesterday. Cast is the same.

Didnt think it was my cup of tea but Im a frequent movie goer so I said why not. Was not disappointed. Watching first part now.

Really the biggest thing is that the movie is 34 years after the first one, and everything is exactly the same. Dont see this r
done really.

I don't hate that I spent $60+ taking my kid to it, but I'm not super happy, either.
(I would pay twice that to see Dune2 again. That movie is why silver screens exist.)

Not too full of woke garbage.
Plot was choppy and rushed. Why was BJ's ex wife even in it?
Looked great. They did a good job of continuity. But...
Derivative. It was like #1, but it was like #1. Didn't really add much new.

Reeeetaaaardeeerd.... dumb.

My six year old daughter and five year old niece enjoyed it.

Heard good things about it as well. I don't mind these sorts of remakes/reboots when they're actually faithful to the original unlike all the bullshit cash grabs.

Stuck it on my Plex server a few nights ago but haven't gotten around to watching it yet.

Been so damn long since I've seen the 1st i need to re watch it.

Can't remember if it's suitable for a 7 year old or not. :lmao:
It is. It just has the 1 cuss word in it. My 8 year loves both of them

I thought the new one was pretty good but I like Burtons movies

It was ridiculously awful. Plot lines that go nowhere, characters that are not developed or have any point other than they are fucking the director...

An embarrassingly bad movie.

It was meh
The characters were cool, but the plot was all over the place and the ending kinda sucked
Luckily I got it from that other irate place

My 3 year old loves the first one. I went 20 years between watching and didn't realize the main couple dies in the beginning.

I thought the original was shit back when I watched it in the 80s/early 90s, can't imagine it's gotten better.

Diversity hire

She got the Beetlejuice gig after her portrale of Wednesday Adams in Burton's "Wednesday" Netflix series. Wednesday's dad is Gomez a Hispanic/Latin, so his daughter should be too.

I haven't seen Beetlejuice 2 yet, but she was great in Wednesday, so I can see why Burton personally asked her to play the role.

Saw it at the drive in opening night. It was a good continuation of the first film. We enjoyed the hell out of it.

If you're going into a movie staring walking corpses and giant CGI sand worms expecting complete plot development and zero holes in the story line then you'll be very disappointed, deservedly so.

They could have left out 50% of the story lines and it would have been better. We watched the original the night before we went to see the second one. Will watch the first one again but will pass on the second.
I agree. The first 30 minutes was boring to me. Michael Keaton was great though. I'll watch the second one again sometime, but am not in a rush to. Overall it was good.

Yep, my wife and I had the same opinion. Got off to a slow start, but really enjoyed the last half of it.
