Picked up a 3/4 ton 44 for the front of my Burb. Trying to find replacement hubs and haven't seen this version before. Anyone have any insight into what I have done to myself by grabbing this one? Any wisdom on them? Swap for newer versions, or rebuild/refresh them and run them as is. Mostly daily driver duties with some camping, hunting, logging road fun...oh, and lots of snow.

They're called external hubs. They break easier than internals and cost way more.

I never broke a hub that didnt break an axle first.

They stick out far
Are very exspensive
but other wise just fine.

Some old spicers are about the only other option i would seek out. But youll pay some where between $50-1500 for them.
