What's new

Anyone else not done a fucking thing today?

how many miles are these motors of yours lasting?
not enough
put bearings in this one about 50k ago, but of course they were chinese trash bearings and I'd been fighting low oil pressure for 50k+ miles before I finally pout the bearings in there, so...
I dunno what I'm doing with my life.
It at least keeps me busy enough.

Didn't you say the journal was egged? Why not take some off the high spot to get it closer to round and also smaller overall?
I sandpapered it for a half hour but it wasn't really moving metal fast enough for my shoulders

Maybe I oughta go back out there and sandpaper it for a while longer, was only using 100 grit

ETA: maybe one end of the sandpaper needs to be attached to a bungee cord and the other end tied to my shoelaces

40 gets it done even quicker. :flipoff2:

Yeah that'd help your shoulders for sure.

A little more work and you could probably rig up something that lets you use the sawzall

I bet an old school pedal sewing machine would be great for that. Toss the sewing machine. Rig up some centers for crankshafts. Run emory cloth where the leather belt would normally go.

I guess you could do the same with a small sanding belt and a hand drill though.

might flatten out the high in the middle of the journal better too

yeah, lace together a belt and run it on a rubber wheel of some sort like a caster wheel with a couple fender washers on the sides...
eh, just gonna fuck my shoulders wrists and elbows more

If doing a good job is easy you'll wind up doing a better job.

And then when the other journals need it you'll already have the setup.

Haven’t done a damn thing but drink beer and fuck off. It’s been a busy week. I’ve been waiting for the UPS kid. He stopped by around 6 hours ago and said he would be back.

was up early to take my meds, then went out to the shop and swept the floor, tossed a couple cardboard boxes into the back of the f150, then reassembled a broken drawer, then patched a fertilizer spreader with some screws and a couple pieces of metal.
been lounging around ever since, just have no energy due to having no testosterone in my body any more(cancer sux).

Been lazy but mustered up the energy to do a load of laundry and eat breakfast. Other than that I haven't done a damn thing but watch college football.
Still need to figure out dinner.

I don't expect this one's gonna go much longer, enough blowby that it looks like a continual engine fire.
What does one of your engines go for on car-part?

I'm so used to shit being hard to find I forget that buying new shit is an option.

Slept in until 10:00. Was fucking amazing.

Ran errands, bought a new cheap baitcasting combo for trolling, got fuel and helped my electrician’s Dad revalve a propane tank.

Have a cabin for the week after next so good time to finally fix my hydroboost and install the new fishfinder and 10” sub box and amp.

No time for doing nothing.

Mounted a scope on my muzzy, was gonna take it to sportsman's to have them mount and laser sight it but then wife got hungery.
Grilled ribeyes fer lunch fer the family.
Been napping watching college football and listening to the radio.
Had a smoke with some brandy.
Called my folks.

Nope, I was actually useful today. Got started late but got a lot done. A lot of little stuff, but it needed to be done and adds up to a bunch of time.

Currently sitting in the garage with the stereo on, drinks within reach, shredding like 20 reams worth of docs.

And a tritip on the grill.

Changed the oil and greased the skidsteer this morning. Then moved dirt for 8 hours. This baby machine is the wrong tool for the job but it's what I have.

Could've dropped it at sportsman's and went across the parking lot to Texas roadhouse. :flipoff2:

We got up, had a quick breakfast, then moved a hide-a-bed from the main house to the Chico kid’s apartment.

Nephew and I moved it out of the house and loaded it in my truck. Somewhere along the line I wrenched my back. I discovered this when I tried to get out of the truck after a two hour drive

I supervised Mrs and the girls while they moved the hide-a-bed from the truck to the apartment. Fortunately they only had to move it fifteen feet to the door then set it down. Thank god it is on the ground floor.

After a two hour drive back home, we ordered pizza for dinner. I am now on the couch self medicating. I’m not doing shit tomorrow, except for maybe reinstalling our front of the property view camera (nephew upgraded a antenna).

Sorry to hear this. I hope the Zofran works for ya.

Can you not take injections?

I think I do more shit in one day than most of y’all do in a wee… month, fawkin room full of slack jawed slackers :flipoff2:

Dropped off a machine in Memphis TN this morning, drove four hours north into Missouri, got some groceries, worked in my fab shop finishing up the last of the deer stand leg side sections, planned out next phase of the weld jig to weld the leg sections together into a square cube, converted my mobile chassis fab table back into mobile mode, fabbed up a top crank trailer screw jack weld on mounting boss drilling holes in it and welding it on the fab table (been wanting to do that for years now) and finally calling it a day and getting ready for bed.

You slack jawed slackers feeling even more guilty for being a bunch of lazy bastids? :flipoff2:
