nosing down to like 28 overnight seems to be pretty okay
probably not good for the radiator, since it'll freeze in there a lot earlier

It hardly ever gets to 28 here. In the winter of 1990 was the coldest it has been since. My dad sold over 50 jet pumps that winter. He would replace one that froze and broke at 6am and be back fixing it again by 10am
