Any updates on the brace ban lawsuits?

Well they went door to door for all the akins accelerators they retroactively made illegal. And they are tracking down some people on the rapid fire binary trigger thing they classified. This just doesn't seem like anything new .

I'm honestly surprised anyone is surprised.
 
Binary or auto reset? I really don't know if there is a difference. I know Binary fire when the trigger is pressed and again when released.

You go enjoy being a critical thinker with you’re like minded individuals. I’m sure the circle jerk is enjoyable. Every 2a outlet is expressing their opinion. It’s up to the judicial system to determine if the ATF can change their mind when leadership changes. Not you’re 2a groups and YouTube influencers.

Reddit thread about pistol brace approvals. Apparently the amnesty approved ones take a month to be ‘conditionally approved’ and the $200 ones are still waiting.

My quickest approval on a form 1 was 27 days for a sbs. This was November 2021.

I'm not saying the op-ed doesn't have some good points, but there are few things I have more contempt for than the rag that is TTAG. And an anonymous op-ed from them? Gross. I do shit on that.

But point well made about reddit. It's nothing but the internet's back row seating at a porno theater at best.

As to the ATF not screwing us on something they said they'd do, how quickly we forget the NFA 41F and 41p bait and switch debacle.

I'm desperately hoping we come out on top on this but it's the "muh gov can change their mind and we should obey" mentality some seem to be presenting, that's what gets me. Like a cuckold husband who's wife changed her mind about your dick. Just cause they "can" doesn't make it right and doesn't me we should allow it or support it.

I never shit on the OP. I told him the best case scenario is he gets a free NFA tax stamp, and the worst case scenario is he gets a conditionally approved SBR and is later told he owes $200 for his short barreled rifle. I provided Reddit as a reference in case anyone wanted to do any additional research beyond "well I asked Irate and Irate said...."

Would you peg me as a government cow, deer, elk, or moose????

In case you didn't know, the internet says the "P" in 41P stands for "proposal" while the "F" in 41F stands for Final. So yeah they changed their minds during the proposal. Not even the same. The ATF released 2021R-08 which was also a proposed rule making, and 2021r-08F is the final rule. Call it what you want. During the proposal there were changes made. Just like plenty of other "proposals" in life.

That's bull shit because the proposal legally has to take public comments. The bait and switch happened and there were no comments taken on the final rule. They don't even play by the system they have in place.

The point is, they change the rules all the time. Why would now bee any different

The proposal has to take public comments, and the bait and switch happens AFTER the public comments and upon the issuance of the final rule. Understood.
 
I’ve been keeping an eye on the brace ban lawsuits, too. It’s been a wild ride. So far, the legal battles are heating up, with several cases moving forward. Some folks are optimistic, believing that these mass tort lawsuits might bring real change.
 
A tennis ball with a hole/slit cut in it just big enough to fit over the buffer tube works as a psudo cushion if you’re too girly to feel the “recoil” from a 556. :lmao:
