I’ve been having some peeing problems. I was in the shower and had to pee. I don’t like peeing in the shower, so I held it. I couldn’t hold it any more and let loose. I hurt for a second and then felt fine.

I found this in the shower. My wife says it’s crazy big for a kidney stone. She was a nurse.

I'm way glad stones don't run in my family

playing with sounding taught me real good that ain't a good time at all

I had a kidney stone many months ago and I never passed anything. It hurt like hell, but it was in my back. The pain went away and I figured it got broke up. (Pissed into a filter for a week) Than on Twosday, it started hurting when I pissed and felt like I needed to piss a lot. I still find it hard to believe I pissed that, but I don’t know how that got in the shower. The pain is gone now. Do you suppose that is the stone from months ago?

You can tell who's never had a kidney stone in this thread. While that is a big stone. It going through the urethra is a cakewalk compared to the ureter. That trip it takes between the kidney and the bladder is what sends you to the ER in excruciating pain.

Generally anything over 5mm is not going to pass on its own. I'm impressed that came out in one piece. My biggest was like 4.5mm. All of my really big ones stayed in my kidneys until a couple lithotripsy procedures turned them into smaller ones. Part of me wishes they just stayed in my kidneys, after lithotripsy broke them up I passed a couple dozen smaller ones.

I think you can stretch out your ureters. In more recent years I have passed stones way larger than the first one I ever had. That first one put me in the ER with max dosage of morphine. After passing 20 or 30 stones, while they are not fun, they're not nearly as unbearable as the first few times.

"Kidney Stones" (whole body shudders of those bad memories ) Yeah they bring the suck .

Way less dick stretching jokes that way

I thought passing a stone hurts like crazy and it's impossible not to know it like you are talking about.
Based on that I don't think that's a stone that you're looking at there.

The sand that comes along with them is what got me planted on the toilet. Nothing you can do to hurry that along other than flush it out. After that I had a pretty drastic change in diet and haven't passed 1 since. Every once in a while I get the ice pick pains, so probably still 1 or 2 waiting.

It’s the kidney to bladder part that hurts in my experience. Once that’s done you may piss it out and not know. I heard mine clink in the toilet so naturally I collected the specimen. Gotta have something to show the grandkids one day.
