I've been looking for an electric flat top grill for a while and finally ordered one from Vevor and an electric sprayer for my dad. Flat top arrived today, dented up and covered in Styrofoam. :mad3:

Got it unpacked, cleaned up and started seasoning it.

Actually took to the seasoning really quick. :smokin:

Decided to cook some steaks for the first cook, did pretty good!

Then some mushrooms onions.

Everything tasted fantastic, was able to get a decent sear on the steaks and the onions and mushrooms were pretty easy to cook. It doesn't heat up very quickly and also holds onto heat for a long time. So far it's worth the $100 it cost!

A couple years ago Mrs asked for a Blackstone griddle for Christmas. I got her the two burner. It came with a stand with a side shelf. It can also be used on a table top. We’ve taken it camping a couple times, but we never use it at home.
Our new trailer has a outdoor kitchen. It came with a small griddle. I’m looking for a standard propane stove top to replace it. I guess we’re not griddle people ¯\(ツ)

RV life here ...I cook on Blackstone, slow cooker or pressure cooker.
Have an induction stove inside and have never used it

I really want a Blackstone griddle. That said, I have a pellet smoker, a ceramic egg and a propane grill. My hack is tossing a Lodge griddle onto the propane grill. Win Win

Watch for clearance deals on blackstone at places like Walmart this fall. They won’t advertise them but if they have leftover stock they will mark them down considerably in store.

We have a 36” 4-burner we use at home and a 2-burner we use for tailgating and trips. They are handier than a shirt pocket.

All I know is we christened a gas blackstone for Sluggy at dirty dozen and it rocked, it was however hella hot on low.
The pound of bacon and pounds of linguesa ?sp?
Rocked thanx Dirtyjed for " amimal fat" seasoning ftw
Dang thigs are nice.
Reminds me of the "restaurant days ".

Undefeated for cooking breakfast for a group.

The stainless on that vevor seems like a upgrade.

Griddles for the win, I just bought the 22" Blackstone from big jive and it's been rocking for camping this past month. I run a 36" at home and it's a great way to cook many different things.

I usually season mine with bacon.... of course. I use towels that I wet and hit with the high heat to clean it. I don't reuse the towels, just kick the uniform service dude enough for a nice lunch or 30pk. That has always gotten me a decent amount of red rags/ micro fiber/ Terry towels.

Fired rice
Breakfast [all of it at once]
Big fish filets
Tacos
Bacon/ Brussel sprouts/ onions
Stir fry/ fajitas
Grilled veggies

The list goes on.

Pro tip, when cooking fajitas:

When cooking your meat, just before it’s done, cut it up on the flat top. Then you can take all the cuts and swirl them around in all the juices. This gets all the flavor from the flat top all over the meat. :smokin: Plus, you don’t have to dirty up a cutting board and such.:homer:

Fried rice - steak is awesome
SMash burgers have replaced "burgers" at my house.... 2x 1/4 lb patties one slice american and one slice pepper jack Sweet hawain buns toasted.

Well, back to to the 4 burner propane grill. Perfect thin crust pizza, on a stone, in 3 minutes.

It's a multitasker! :bert:

i still want a Blackstone grill. Don't judge me! :smokin:

That’s what we do, as the grill can get stupid hot easily. Wifey makes sourdough pizza crust, though. :smokin:

I kinda feel bad since mostly abandoning my cast iron pans for the griddle. Just stop thinking about it and get the big one. The ability to do everything on one surface is a gift from the gods.
