Adding a 4th link is it a waste?

So I installed a 3 link on the front of my CJ and while working on doing the 4 Link for the rear I realized I have enough parts to add a fourth link to the front. Aside from binding issues is there any reason not to do it? I have the space and it shouldn't hit anything. It just seems like it couldn't hurt for the additional support up top but I haven't seen anyone do it so I figured there had to be a reason I am not considering. I am not running hydro steering and I do have a track bar in place. currently everything seems happy but I cant get past thinking a fourth link would just be better for strength. All I would need to buy is a taller truss mount for that side. The kit I have is the TMR Customs kit which puts the lowers as far out as you can while giving a little triangulation but not much. My upper link is angled in towards the center above the passenger drop pumpkin. It looks like I can match that angle without hitting anything.

With all heims i wouldn't because of the inherent bind, but if you have soft joints on your control arms i'm 100% for it. Parallel 4 links with soft joints are fantastic.

clean set up! I do think at some point I will convert from hiems they weren't avail when I bought the kit and I was impatient to get started.

Is it the shift of the panhard? I hadn't considered that, that's why I am here. it does make sense.

Yes. With bushings, some link convergence angle is fine, Jeeps for example. But as the angle increases, the panhard fights the angled links in a 4 link.

As long as you have a top link that is heavy duty enough with enough link separation and a sturdy upper mount - I see no advantage to adding the 4th link. You are merely introducing mechanical bind and extra weight / effort.

I appreciate the replies guys I will leave it as is . The top link is 2x.250 wall so it is pretty sturdy. I have plenty of other work to do on this thing I keep trying to add more for myself constantly lol.

Keep an eye on the frame bolt of the upper. I would remove the bolt annually to see if the bolt hole is being wallowed out.
