What's new

Ad blockers violate YouTube's Terms of Service

I did to, then started having issues.
Do what I said, report back.

Another thing I like is I can turn the screen off and play podcasts off of YT.
When on the road I connect to my work truck stereo via bluetooth.
That would be handy. I listen to stuff when cutting wood or putting stock orders away at work and it's annoying when my leg pushes shit on the phone and screws it up.

It's lovely when I’ve got dirtt hands so don't want to get grease, diesel, mud all in my.pocket and phone and it's playing a 15 min ad for dick pills or ass hair removal or other weird stuff.
One was a like 30 min ad with VERY lispy gays and trannies going on about who knows. I ripped the Blueteeth out in a rage in that crap.

And no... it's not ads on search history, that shit randomly pops up on my TV too, along with foreign language ads, Camalla Harris, etc and I've never logged into anything in the TV or have a search.

No ads on my laptop but some on iPhone.

Is it just me or did they remove the numbers showing the length of the video at the right of the screen before you click on it?

I use NewPipe for YouTube on Android:

It's not perfect, but it work well.

If you're more privacy conscious, there's Invidious and it's clients:

Client software covers more platforms than NewPipe,

And there's a ton more options out there, just a matter of looking for them.

Anything that you've located allow for d/l on the tube as of yet?

Assuming you mean download, the application I've already listed will allow for that although I have not used that feature. If you/re talking about from your desktop, there's this:

It's a command line utility that allows you to download directly from YouTube. If you install mpv:

It will allow you to watch the YouTube video without downloading. I use this combo so I don't have to go to YouTube directly to watch just about anything from there.

FYI: I use Linux, so I can not say how well the above applications work with any other OS.

I cuck to YouTube and give them $10 a month, well worth it...

oh is that why my shit's been crashing a bunch? huh

all the shit gets broken for touchscreen fags
like how the progress bar disappears on top of the video instead of being displayed below the window as was done before

Yeah, guugle tweaks do tweak youtube kinda more often than previously and it's getting more annoying by the day/month/year

not sure if i miss the yt app or not :garfield:

Well fawk. I'm win11 and droid
The applications I've listed do have Windows executables, so they should work. And after a little more searching, I found this:

A GUI frontend for yt-dlp and also has a Windows executable. So download this and yt-dlp then start your downloading fun. Good luck...

Well, looks like they finally got me. Ive been using Firefox with Adblock plus

Whos favorite browser and add-on are still working?

I've been using that librewolf one with ublock and it's been working
it does break every link to facebook instantgram and all the other retard-tracking-and-programming platforms, but that doesn't bother me any
anyone who posts links to that shit doesn't have any credibility to begin with, just scroll on by

ETA: as if youtube isn't just as bad for programming people, but we're all allowed hypocrisy
