A new take on a Comanche / Cherokee front coilover mount.

A friend of mine purchased this rig during the past summer. For the most part it is a good start to a great wheeler. He brought this rig over to my shop to redo a bunch of work, that the previous owner had done. The rig was pretty solid for the most part,

- dana 60 front
- Hydro assist
- dana 70 rear
- 3 link front
- Leaf spring rear
- 5.3 out of a tahoe with 4l60

The plan

- coilovers in each corner
- 4 link rear
- exo cage / rub rail
- tube bed
- atlas
- etc

The owner of the jeep is very particular and even though it is a wheeler, would like to keep the build as clean as possible. Most Cherokee coil over hoops seem very cookie cutter, It seems like there must be a more interesting solution. Knowing there will be an exo cage, it would be nice to tie everything together.

After many hours playing in bend tech, this was the final solution.

Sorry the photos are out of order,

The main tube with get attached to the a pillar bar, connecting the front to the rest of the cage

I'm a month plus late to reply, but that strikes me as an extremely long and unsupported span for what's being asked of it.
I don't like it without adding some vertical spars in line with the shock to carry the load.

EDIT- am I to understand that there is a mostly vertical tube that extends down from the horizontal tube lands on the frame?
I guess that's better but I'd still prefer it not be such a long span. Maybe the pics aren't doing your end product justice.

Ill take some pictures when Im back on this project, The span is supported in 2 other locations, so the section where the coilover mounts is only 10 inches of strait tube
