Hi! I visited Islamabad, twice, in 2016. 9/10 do recommend (though skip Karachi airport). My second trip was during mango season, also spent time in Risalpur. I was able to visit Margalla Hills NP and see monkeys- lots of them. The countryside was beautiful and food was excellent. Away from the Islamabad diplomatic area, locals aren't used to seeing a very tall whiteboy walking around, especially at Nicholson's obelisk, lol. Would re-visit, especially with a trip to the northern mountainous area.
