A few pics/info on it. 351w/e4od with about 140k on it. Very solid with minimal rot.

I just recently retired and this is mostly a low budget build for me. Plenty of time, not enough $$ now a days! Got some other shop projects taking up money I can throw at em.

Awesome, those should ride pretty nice, I think that's one of the softest front leaves offered in the leaf sprung sd platform.

I want to swap my 97 C&C f350 to 99-04 front leaves but just dont want the lift it will give me.

43-804 is the 5.4L Excursion leaf spring. That's what i used in the front of my wife's:

It rides like a caddy. Super smooth :smokin:

Ive found some leafs that might be a lower rate; the first couple years of the SD the leafs have a berlin eye instead of a standard eye, and theres some low spring rates that they seem to have dropped later on. info is hard to find on front leaf springs so its hard to say, but i think these are S code:

These came out of a 98 or 99 SD with a 5.4L, but the door was gone so i couldnt get the codes off the sticker and was never able to truly ID them. I snagged em up because i was afraid the Ex leaf would be too stiff for a bronco (its not at all), and i was concerned about how much lift they would give, which ended up being 4" (which is what i was after anyway).

Honestly dont even know if theyre worth using; the Ex codes ride real smooth in a bronco, to the point where i now think i want a set for my 96 F250 as well. Im also figuring with the extra weight of the 7.3 vs the 351 that itll ride a little lower, which is ok by me.

Awesome
Info thanks for sharing

What is the lowest height kit out there for an obs front ad leaf swap?

Theyre all about the same, as far as i know. Like MAGADamit! i used the Sky kit on my wife's bronco, which is advertised as a 2" lft on a F350. I used the 2.25" kit from PMF Suspension on my 96 F250. They both base their lift heights off of the V code leafs, so the height changes depending on what spring you use.

Thanks. Wonder how gasser SD springs would hold up to a obs 7.3? Who am i kidding, i got 50 projects ahead of me before i fuck with that. I need the truck operable. Nothing to see here, carry on

I dont know, but i intend to try! Thats part of the rebuild on my F250 coming in the next year. A buddy had a CC short bed 6.0 and that truck was over 1k lbs heavier than my xcab long bed 7.3. The older trucks are a lot lighter than the ones that replaced them.

Sorry for the derail MAGADamit!
