Does the front gas tank from said F-150/250/350 use the same fittings as the same year ('94) Bronco?

Meaning (aside from mounting);
Take the front tank and, straight-across, plug it in with Bronco fittings.
Unplug Bronco tank/take front tank with it's fuel etc and plug it in.

I want a smaller fuel tank in order to move the rear axle further rearward.

I know I'll have to move the refueling port to the driverside; no prob.

So you want to install a F150 front saddle tank into the bronco in the same location as on a F150? or put it in the back where your factory tank is?

Put it in the back perpendicular to it's original direction (frame-to-frame vs along frame rail).
Remove original tank/install skinnier tank.

So I can move the rear axle another 6"/8"/10" rearward.

I dont think it will fit side to side between the rails. It was pretty long. Its too bad I just scrapped the front tank out of the F150 last week, I could have grabbed measurements for you.

For some reason I am not getting it but...
I took the rear Tank from a 1991 F250 that had dual tanks, removed it and swapped in a 1988 Bronco 32 gallon tank to get more fuel into my F250.
It was a direct swap.

My current thinking:
Take an existing part (smaller/skinnier tank) that can plug-n-play and swap straight over.
Which would in-turn make room to move rear axle rearward. <---MAIN OBJECTIVE
Mount a 50gal aux tank right behind driver/passenger seats and plumb a drain hose into main tank.

After moving the axle rearward 5":

I just picked up a 19 gallon front tank for my '97 F250 and it's about 5-6' long, I can put a tape on it later. The 16 or 17 gallon tanks were closer to 4'

16gal is about 4'/48" long.
Frame rails are about 40"~ across.
Hmmm🤔

Just measured the frame;
37.5" outside to outside.

Your frame is 36.25 on the outside. There is no way you are fitting a midship tank crossways. You'd be better off getting an RBV midship tank (tall and narrow because the RBV frame is like 32" outside or something tiny like that) and mounting it outboard of the frame rails.
