A cruiser 9.5" would be more of a waste of time in a ford 9" housing. You'd lose the whole reason for upgrading. Gears are cheaper for. the 9" and 35splines are pretty easy to come by . Not to mention the pinion snub in the third which makes it much stronger. Centering a rear 9.5 using IFS shafts or first gen tundra shafts for more width is easy and cheap, the axles are pretty strong as well. Making a housing from an old semi float rear cruiser housing is pretty easy as well. When you get to the point where you are breaking 30 spline stuff, the 9" is the way to go.
