Bought myself another wheeling rig after at least 6 years out of the game. 87 4runner with 4 banger, 33s, new lift, new winch, new sliders, bumpers, etc..new CV shafts, interior is fairly new with lots of replaced parts, etc.. I'm excited to get back into wheeling, my last rig i fell in love with building it more than wheeling it, built it so big i had to go cross the US to wheel it for a challenge. I hope I can resist that urge with this one and keep it so that Uwharrie in NC is a challenge, and start from scratch learning to wheel a smaller rig again. I'm interested in locker info for it, and getting rid of, or at least sanding down so it's not like 4 grit sand paper, the bedliner paint job on it. Otherwise for now just tinker on smaller stuff and wheel it as is for the time being, although I've already looked at SAS info, etc.. lol..I feel the monster re-awakening:smokin:

They are stamped Toyota, they are factory Toyota off of something. Guy gave me brand new little smaller toyota mirrors, but i kinda like these, if I can get the driver side one to move enough so that I can see with it.
 
Oh, another neat feature the PO already did, removable door kits installed :smokin:
The front tube bumper isn't some internet shit either, it's DOM tubing. The rocker guards are DOM and welded to the frame, and the rear bumper seems like DOM, not positive on that.

My brother had an '86 truck with those mirrors back in the early 90's. I've never seen another truck with them before

How bad is it to regear the front myself? I'm thinking 4.88 to match the 33 inch tires. Saving 250 a month not paying to store a boat is fucking awesome as far as quickly being able to get some parts on this pig :smokin:

With a little “ sirch, noob” there’s enough tech around here you can handle it. Trust me.
 
I don't own the tools or knowledge to setup gears. That's one thing I've always paid a pro to do.

I would just keep your eyes open for an ifs third that's already geared. They pop up fairly often

That was kinda my point. Do a little research on what it takes, then decide if you can or cant. It takes more sense than it does shop. Kinda rewarding really.

I can do it, I've regeared dana 44s, and yeah I know it's a sirch noob deal, trying to get some damn conversation going lol. I knew I'd get the search deal. Til i tear in deeper, which won't be for another week probably while I deal with getting rid of the boat, was trying to stir something to talk about lol

would like to keep it to 33s, no need to go as big as i did with the jeep, makes me have to haul it halfway across the US to wheel anything decent. I might SAS it though, but for now, just gear it for 33s, lock it front and back, and wheel it.

i know. pirate did that to me the first time. i'm a builder, kept seeing cool shit and wanted to build it, built the damn jeep so big it wasn't even fun to wheel it anymore. I want to avoid that with this crawler.
