I asked my accountant what he thought the hiring of all the new tax people was about and he said, 'corporate dodges that are bullshit and zillionaires'

he said they would work to build enough of a case and then do what they do in the drug world, plea out by paying a percent of what was really owed. Not much litigation, lots of revenue and a new game.

When the real discussion is why corporations are paying income tax in the first place. Paying for legit services such as roads is fine. And these expenses are covered by gas taxes and similar use-based mechanisms. Income taxes are used to fund income redistribution and social engineering, i.e. buying votes. And what most of the voting idiots fail to understand is that corporate income tax is passed on the the consumer in the form of higher prices.

This is the gorilla in the room. Hiring IRS wonks to go after 'the rich' or businesses is going after the poor and middle class, because the poor and middle class need to purchase everything they need to exist with limited resources. Businesses must charge more to offset what they pay in taxes PLUS what it costs them to figure out how much tax they owe (bloated finance and legal departments).

There should be zero business or corporate taxation. This would not be a favor for 'the rich', it would be a win for everyone and biased towards the poor and middle class.

If they are replacing retired agents why did they need new funding for it. Money should already be in the operating budget.

Flyin' Miata was one of the spearheads of v8 swap conversion kits for the LS into the Miata. The EPA has scared them off due to their targeting and fining of aftermarket auto companies.

Nobody will be allowed to drive cars in the future; you won't be able to afford a self-driving-electric automobile, so the corrupt.gov will provide cars as a "service" (for a small fee and a HUGE tax). Making it too hard to be a motorsports enthusiast is a step in that direction; they'll target companies making aftermarket parts for licensed, on the road vehicles and then move to off-highway vehicles next.

The funding is spread out over 10 years it's not a one shot tomorrow.
There isn't anything that is stating they need this money for existing positions
An agency can have positions open but not have funding to fill them, that is a very common situation So you could be allowed to hire 20 people, but only have funding now for 10, and 5 are retiring in the next 2 years. You still have funds for the 5 but can't recruit or hire until those 5 do retire.

I'd agree with the btthomas post.

So IRS gets congressional questions about why this isn't working and IRS give the standard Agency response of we are underfunded. So Congress passes more tax hikes to give money to IRS to bring in their missing money.

They have a history of weaponizing the IRS against conservatives. They have openly said the trump supporters need to be audited to see their contributions to the canadian truckers as well as saying every big trump doner needs to be audited. And Republican congressional members need to be audited for the Canadian trucker protest. These are just the easy ones to point out but it goes on and on. Sorry I completely disagree with you on this one.

The patterns displayed by people and organizations rarely change without good reason. After the L. Learner “investigation”, IRS targeting conservative groups while rubber stamping liberal groups, and nobody got angry nothing happened why would they change anything?

Any combatant knows once in the fight you continue the escalation of the violence of the action until the desired results are achieved.

Everyone pays their taxes under penalty of death. Resist payment and incarceration death is next…

The IRS hearings were infuriating. After Lerner played her hand, Koskinen sat there smirking and lying while the congress did nothing.
Grrr.
 
I'll bet they hire a lot of Cops that don't want to be Cops because of the Political climate, and I'll bet they let the Cops carry over their years of service with them and apply the years to their retirement.

Cops are leaving their jobs in droves. They will be replaced with whomever will do the job. That will likely result in even more morally bankrupt policing.
