First though
Bad materials/manufacturing/ cost cutting

#2 ? Over pressure? Longshot here..

#3 undersized neck

I'll take some measurements on the neck to see if they are undersized. Guessing bad materials?

I dunno, but lowest bidder and all...
Anything about the breech face?
This is batch specific right, call vendor and see if they have any other reports...

Typically happens after the cases have been reloaded a few times. Is the primer really crimped in (difficult to determine in the pic)?

Not going to trim that case on the left. It's cracked to the base of the neck. Otherwise I would agree
huh hadn't noticed, was just looking at the mouth

neat, run into cracks like that way down by the web before on brass that'd been sized a zillion times, usually it's right at the mouth though

I trim my 44 brass back when it starts to crack. get a couple more rounds of them.

My Ultra mag brass always cracks starting at the base of the neck. Never had a gun that did that before. Almost looks like its just burning through:laughing:

Got this response from SGammo. Impressed and happy on how they handle things like this. "I have not seen any other customers having that problem so its hard to say anything with 100% certainty but it does not look anything that would cause real problems to me. Please test around on it and if you are not happy with the ammo I can do a return, but I think it will be fine to use" Full disclosure, I bought 600 rounds of this from them.

On the bright side, 50 BMG once fired brass is plentiful and cheap.

Curious if pulling a mold of the breech could be a good thing here...
Just don't go Kentucky on us:beer:
No doubt there! I have shot some IMI (Israeli surplus) and some PMC bronze and those don't split the necks.
