4x4-16.com/ - A clone of Pirate?

I had asked the same thing a while back. Some kind of scraping site for ad revenue for some other entity is my understanding of it.
 
WTF. Never heard of it but my build thread is on there. With working pictures too. How did you stumble across this?
 
That's been around for years - were you seriously unaware of it? :confused:

I checked soon after the PBB "upgrade" - looks like the 4x4-16 updates stopped right around then.

. . . which is a "shame" because 4x4-16 doesn't have the ~150 posts made on PBB since then :laughing:

i was seriously unaware of it. :confused: How TF does it work? First time opening that site was 1 min ago and my tech threads are on there complete with pics.

It's been some long-running (unapproved?) mirror site. I think they just copied all the content on PBB & updated their database at intervals. Looks like the updates stopped when PBB got the "upgrade".

It was handy when someone HGTD'd a thread - to see what you missed, or to convince dipshits you can still see their HGTD'd thread & they can't :laughing:
