Is that oil bottle holder (by the back seat) something you bought or made? Got any better pics of it?
I bought it, it was awhile ago when I got it but this one has a nice combination of fluids containers it can hold

Edit: mine must be an older model than the link, mines slightly different

Muy Amarillo cabron

This past weekend I started to realize how much more sanding I have a head of me

This is at 400grit and it has a haze so once I get everything to 400 I'll go back over everything stepping to 1000 and we'll see if I care enough to go more than that

Also I'm looking at the eastwood roll on epoxy primer

The bottom two tone and roof is a mix of bare metal-original primer-original paint

Anybody have experience with Eastwood paints? Is it decent or should I stay away?

I'm liking the idea of roll on primer

I take it this is a "known" vehicle from the paintjob? Does anyone have pictures of it from back in the day?
This thing was pimp back in the day, flame paint, nice cut and smoothed front and rear fenders, inchworm adapter, arb air lockers front and rear, the axles had diff guards with flames cut into them(which makes sense now) and maybe the rear trunk and the front bumper air tank at that time

I tried Google to see if I could find any original pics but didn't find anything

Alright I found out some backstory!

Nothing special unfortunately :homer:

But I figured out who I bought it from, messaged him, he's buddies with the guy who originally built the rig, that buddy had bought the truck from his dad who had bought it new

The son did the yellow paint around 98 and then resprayed it gold to match his Ford in 02

So the truck wasn't yellow for very long

Alright finding mirrors was a bit of a hassle but for future reference 1973 Ford f100 type 9 mirrors get you pretty close

I had to bend them a little bit but they look pretty good

The flat section that the mirror bolts to does slope slightly downward but it's hard to notice unless you crouch and look for it

Also I got the two tone and the roofed primed today so I'm done with paint for awhile, well unless it looks terrible in the sun

I used the Eastwood epoxy roll on opti flow blah blah blah, for simplicity

The black primer looks ok in the sun

I've been trying to figure out another color option to paint the black sections and yellow with red flames is really hard to work with

If I go red I'm worried it'll be too McDonald's-y

This Toyota bright gold in place of the black is tempting but I'm having a hard time picturing it in my mind

Also those 3 orange/golds are all allegedly the same paint code

Side conversation on one of the threads here had me guess that I wheel with about 200lbs of tools and spares

It had me wondering if that was accurate so I measured all my junk

83.8lbs of spare parts
132.4 of tools

216.2lbs total

And then on top of that I have fluids that I didn't want to dig out to weigh, maybe tomorrow
