How do I recover the freon from my 2002 suburban without a recovery system?

If you can come across a empty freon container. Pull a vacuum on the container, then let the vacuum pull the freon out of the system.
I have that, my dad said that it didn't work when he tried it. Possibly I need a check valve in the line.

The compressor in the truck is dead:homer:.

Checks avatar...

Yep checks out:lmao:

Hahahah, hey now. I've got two large robinair machines. I ain't wasting no r12, r22, r1234yf

But there has to be some hack fuck way of doing it.

I have a empty 30lb tank with connectors at the top and bottom.
Yes. I used to have a compressor out of a fridge that I soldered quick connectors on. I evac'ed that way.

I have not priced r134 lately. Has it gotten crazy expensive or you really that tight? Lmao

But we do have other systems too. So I guess that I need to rob a electric compressor out of something.

Green knob check valve, black knob no check valve. Gonna need to find an older tank for this to work. “Hypothetically” (looks around for epa man).

Hold a trash bag over it to collect the vapor, put bag in the freezer so it becomes liquid again, dump it in a gutted fire extinguisher, pressurize extinguisher with an air hose, reinstall freon

Besides, if you recycle the freon. It will lose some of it's cooling ability and it won't cool as well as it did.
