How do you take your kids camping? Are there special tricks that you have to make camping with kids easier? We listen to the feedback that you wrote in to give Tyler and his family about how to go off-roading and camping with a baby. We were able to get the Secretary, Assistant and Mini Assistant to join us to talk about your feed back. We discussed many topics from infants off-roading, car seats and what to bring for your child to help make them and you happy while in the outdoors. Thanks to everyone who wrote in!

I didn't get a chance to post a question or opinion. My kids were about 10-12 when we started wheeling and they'd bang/ smash around asleep in the back of my scout. Didn't seem to bother them.

I do find girls get friggen bored easy and once they get in a mood there is no salvation. Youngest held her poop for 4 days because she didn't want to shit in a bag or in a hole in the ground lol.

No experience with babies but I'd say by 1 their nugget is plenty strong.

Matt from busted knuckle was banging around his little one in a car seat in the back of the new 4 seater rock bouncer.

Overloading or slow crawling if say is 200% fine.

Most women tend to over research and baby the baby too much. Don't let him turn into a sucky li'l mamas boy. I mean I was a mamas boy but she gave me independence not dependence. :lmao:

Kids are resilient as hell, my youngest been to the hospital plenty for dumb shit lol. She's a trooper but not a pooper!

Mine has done a fair amount of soft roading in the DD with me and a wee bit of accidental snow wheeling when she was 2mo old while we were looking for a christmas tree. With the baby baby, getting stuck or broken is not an option, we were prepared if it happened, but easy trails and solid equipment and radio/inReach/phones.

All the adventures have been in the baby bucket, the removable basket car seat thing. We went Nuna for the stabilizing leg and nicer materials, we also bought two bases for it and there's no way I have any interest in swapping bases or seats between vehicles. It sounds like it's easy, and it is, but it's a pain in the ass and worth the $300 for another base or seat. The Nuna shit has held up super well, the bucket and stroller got lost in Paris and then went back and forth from Athens and Pylos like 7 times under a bus and showed nearly no wear.

The stander/walker thing works great as a baby cage in the garage, this kid has already built an engine harness and super duties. She quickly outgrew the ARB box. We're still getting used to the sounds of the impact and air tools, so when I'm working with her it's hand tools only and no grinding/welding/painting/brake kleen.

Also, you're gonna cry a lot. I remember holding her in the hospital and thinking about all the awful shit I've seen in the world and wondering how to protect her from it. Specifically thinking about my buddies that I lost in combat, I don't know why (PTSD probably), but we'll continue their legacy and do rad shit. It's fun as hell, seeing them learn and grow and develop personalities is hilarious. The best part of my day is coming home to happy wife and daughter.
