3 months worth of BTK Inhibitor cancer meds. Right now Big Gov(taxpayers) are picking up the tab while I guinea pig at NIH. Thank you guys! I want to say fawk Big Pharm but I'm torn, without them my prognosis would be rather bleak. With them, I don't have an expiration date. Just have to eat $300 worth of pills a day.

If anyone unfortunately ever has to deal with this shit, look at what NIH has to offer. Hit me up and I'll try and help with what I know. I'll be there every 3 weeks for the next year for Immunotherapy infusions. Incredible people there. A whole different mindset of docs and staff.

It's a little weird. I realized quickly that I am an asset to them, not just a patient. I've got my nurses cell number and she gives me a hard time for NOT calling her about every little thing.

Guess I just wanted to let everybody know some of our tax money is doing some good work.

Glad that you are able to get the help you need.

I wouldn’t be able to afford $300 a day and my life outcome would reflect that.

From what we understand. Insurance will cover it when I come back to the outside. I couldn't afford it either, when the outside Doc told me how much it was, immediately asked about plan B.

Reduced prices from Pharma is rather common, I've never had a name-brand drug that didn't come with a little blurb about contacting them for financial help. I got a discount on a med a few years back that was costing insurance several hundred per month.

Clinical Trials are also very common, I don't work in the med field anymore but when I did, I have never seen a clinic or hospital of reasonable size that doesn't have a Clinical Trials section where they give away free meds in the trials phase.

Also, Universities do this, literally every single one with a Med School does an enormous amount of free drug trials and treatment trials. UMich will transport you to Ann Arbor, put you up in a hotel built for the purpose, with on-site and hospice care, transport you to the hospital if necessary, and put your family up as well. I think there is a Ronald McDonald house there as well.

And that's why everyone else pays $300/mo for dick pills or whatever is still under patent.

I KNOW that most people don't understand how much goes into a drug trial. Data is a lot bigger now, but I've transported boxes of DLT tapes filled with a reasonably efficient stat analysis software (SAS) to and from a Pharma company the data sets are that fucking big.

Literal billions of dollars for each drug, I'd say I observed the Pharma Co eat two out of three drugs they tried to bring to market. Why is it so expensive and rigorous? Thalidomide babies.

All of the drugs that are successfully brought to market have to pay for all of that.

Foreign countries then use those drugs after they didn't pay the development costs, then dig on us for having an expensive Medical system. Then US Leftists pick up the same mantra and promise free health care to everyone.

British NHS will lock drugs out of the market and their government will change the patents if Pharma doesn't agree to their prices.

It's all a big fucking scam that Trump has barely touched. WE PAY FOR ALL OF THAT.

IT'S ALREADY FREE FOR PEOPLE WHO NEED IT
