2bbs 2021 bronco build

So are those portals quiet? I’ve been told mogs make noise on the highway. I assume yours got better manners.

Here's a pic of mine next to a Bronco on portals to give some perspective. We both have basically the same suspension and tires besides the portals.

So just add portals
Kinda has me thinking that Bronco front knuckle might be a good choice for someone doing custom IFS. Build now, drop the $$$ and tack on portals later after you get some miles and hours on the buggy.

Gotta love the life for those pre-production models without a VIN.
They all have a VIN, but it's a pre-series VIN.
Legal requirements are that after 365 days from build time => crusher
You can request an extension, year after year though. Up to 7 years total.

Not where you are at is isn’t
If you're willing to wheel in august under the blistering heat, you can do some absolutely stupid shit on the dry.
But that's pretty much it.
And the dust is insane (we don't real use parker pumpers etc here).

Or somehow get a lien against it (mechanic, storage, impound, etc) and never pay because "oops, corporate fuck up" the same way that UPS vans and Uhaul trailers wind up in private ownership.

Sure there's probably some fed bureaucracy rule being violated there but it probably it's gonna be a massive gray area of legal spaghetti that nobody wants to delve into as long as a media spectacle isn't made out of it.

They don't have a title nor are registered at the DMV. So no, you can't request a lien against them.

It's as black and white as it gets.

If you want to dive in the weeds :

I'm very versed in the matter.

And these cars were pre-series and not prototypes. This would have been a shitshow of even bigger proportions.

Your boot licking europoor is showing.:flipoff2:

State doesn't give a shit what the the OEM thinks the VIN represents. State just cares that it isn't reported stolen. State doesn't care that there isn't a prior title or registration though lacking a title certainly would reduce the number of paths you can take to get a new "clean" title.

For the purposes of "saving" a unique vehicle from the crusher a "whoopsie, we never paid the storage lot, it got impounded, we ignored the notices and it sold at auction 6mo ago" would probably suffice. As long as corporate doesn't come looking for it and start trying to drag people into court over it nobody's gonna dig into it.
