Where's that? I only watch the calfire shit..

This was an exciting one for me even if it didn't get that big. Started two properties over and burned through the back yard within 30 min of smelling smoke and seeing the initial plume. Thank go for light winds and VCFD and friends being quick with the air support.

If you can please post updates. My family has a lot of property, homes, and 3 generations of junk 5 miles from Fort jones. I spent half my childhood there.

Fire at muy favorite scrap yard.

Was the French Fire discussed in here? I remember seeing it on the Watch Duty app, but didn’t realize how serious it was at the time. Seeing the scar today, it burned the entire eastern hillside the full length of Mariposa.

That's the one my brother got evacuated from over the 4th.

Sort of on topic but in a "good" way. It appears that El Dorado County(Ca) Sheriff has a helo that does fire drops. They work in conjunction with CalFire.

They did a flyover during a meeting in BFE over the weekend.:grinpimp:

I drove through there Sunday and was surprised how close to town it got.

It looked sketch just during be. I bet a current aerial view would make it look even worse.
He said it went from clear to smokey in about a half hour. Than he heard someone saying gtfo.
Came around a corner and ran into a line of crews keeping the fire on one side of the road.
