2021 Virginia City Grand Prix

anyone here going? got my entry confirmed today. I haven't raced a bike since the late '80s. VCGP was always a bucket list item for me so decided to make the commitment this year, picked up a used 450 specifically for this event. If I get a finisher pin, i'll sell it and move on.. if not I'll try again next year.

Rain started early and never stopped, turned into a mud race.
My start strategy was to NOT lay it down on the wet asphalt in front of everyone, so i babied it off the line and ended up stalling it. Not as bad as a lowside, but not my best moment. Ended up with 8th in my class of ~45 riders, though the were some scoring issues that may have worked in my favor.. dunno.
