Looking to get my new Ram setup to tow, or haul stuff now that I sold my old truck. Looking at the Air-Lift, or Firestone bags, and use the Daystar cradles. Along with putting in a gooseneck hitch. I never ran bags on my old truck so I don’t know any difference between the two companies. Online reviews are all good between the two. Anyone here have either system?

Truck is a ‘21 2500 PW.

I've run both, no issues with either..
I put bags and cradles on my 2021... ran a "t" and a shut off in between so I can run them independent or tied together.

Had to modify the cradles a Lil bit
I BELIEVE these are airlift with the internal jounce bumper so you didn't have to keep 5 psi in the bags...

I have 35in tires, and can fit a full size spare...just have to keep a compressor with you

I put it up empty, them put a few pounds back in the tire. Keeps it very tight and not moving...also keeps the thieves away

Having only dealt with customers rigs and complaints, id only do a system with a height valve like semis have. Pressure switch on the air tank for the compressor and a manual dump valve too.

Guessing you don’t have the compressor kit for the bags? I was looking at the wireless control kit with a heavy duty pump. Guessing I could plumb it up to inflate my tires after going to the beach, and not having to drive home with 10psi.

It's absolutely worth having in cab remote.

One of the few times I hauled in a truck with bags, I left the shop with the truck nice and level. Got about a mile down the road and was getting the shit best out of me. I was hauling immobile equipment, so I couldn't pull anything forward or back to adjust wieght.

Long story short, I started playing with the air in the bags and it got better with more pressure, then went away at around 70 psi. I wouldn't have thought to put air in at the shop since the truck wasn't squatting.

I've had bags in 4 trucks...only one had the compressor kit with in cab adjustment.

When I was towing a heavyb fifth wheel it was worth it to adjust on the fly for highway conditions...

This truck will only see bumper pull trailers and none are heavy enough to use it

Most air I've had to use was 35 lbs in the bags, with a load of firewood in the bed and pulling a loaded car trailer:homer:

This one tows my off road teardrop, small bumper pull and my car hauler.

Another option is to not use the lower mounts, and drill and tap the stock lower bumpstop mount for the daystar cradle. It would be faster

That’s my plan is to use the daystar cradles. Any advice on the pump? Was going to get the “heavy duty” version, hoping it can air up tires. Will those pumps work? Or should I look into a different brand pump that the air bag companies, like PAC Brake or the like?

I have an '18 PW. It has the Airlift bags with internal bumpers. I added the Daystar cups. It was already piped to independent Schrader valves by the license plate. I carry a Viair 400p compressor. It will do 35" tires no problem and the bags. I've never had to adjust them after the initial setting.

I do love the fact I can tow a trailer somewhere, empty the bags for ride quality offroad, and inflate the bags again to pull the trailer home.
