Going to 35’s. Not a wheeler but a gravel/mud road DD for the hay fields as well. He wants to keep the mud/dust down AND he tall so easy access to the stuff in the bed the height helps him.

Retired friend looking for advice and asked me to help pick and install

What are the decent options not on unlimited budget? Not the shitty riding cheep junk.

Thank you

Make sure he can fit 35's without doing a body mount chop like the Tacomand 4runner.

Definitely:
Camburg/Icon/TC uniball upper control arms

bilstien/Icon/Fox/etc coilovers

Maybe:
Spindle gussets, eurathane rack bushings, UCA bolt end supports.

I doubt you will be able to fit 35's without a BGTL lift kit or extensive Sawzall work. All the new trucks have wheel arches cut out for factory size tires and do not allow for a much bigger tire over stock without major mods or lift.

Level it, go up a few tire sizes and call it good.

Toytec. Should have plenty of options from many mfg’s. 2-3” should allow for skinny 35’s with proper backspacing

I have a 2016 with 35". I'm running ADS coilovers and tubular upper control arm up front. ADS piggy back resi shocks in the back with a Toytec shackle. No porblems clearing the 35" with the stock rims. I just recently added a 1.25" wheel spacer and started rubbing the front splash guards. That was an easy fix by re drilling the holes in the slash guard so I could move them forward about 3/4". No rubbing at all now.

I have 37's on my 2019 1794. I put kings for a 3" lift and its the same hight as a Pro. Tubular uppers, 1.25 spacers. Rides great, milage before re gear was 16-17, with 5:29's I'm at 12-14 no matter what I do. I did the body mount chop but its not a big deal, you can cut it and not plate it and it will never matter.

I have a 2010 rock warrior running 35” duratracs on stock TRD RW wheels, bilstein 5100 up front on the highest setting (2.2”), and ome leafs. No trimming at all. Stock everything. Rubs some plastic inner fender shit sometimes.

I'd suggest a minimal lift (less than 1.5 inches) so that you can keep the stock UCA's and the CV angles in check without a diff drop.

The front cab mount is where it's going to rub (you'll likely have to massage the inner fender and hammer the pinch weld too), chop that out and weld in a plate, it's a common mod on tundra's and tacoma's.

You can get even more clearance with a realignment by telling them to move the front wheels forward as much as possible.
