Good morning.
I'm looking at a 2016 Honda Accord Coupe EX with 150,000 miles. I have heard a lot (bad) about their older CVTs, but not much about that generation. At 150K miles, is it on borrowed time?
Thanks.

ALL CVTs are on borrowed time from day one (except e-CVTs). Nissans have the lowest life expectancy, everyone else's offerings last a bit longer.

All cvts suck. It is like having a car driven by a rubber band ball.

This. This guy said all you need to know.

Yea there really is no repairing them, when they fail shit gets real bad real quick and you just replace the whole unit.

Have a 2014 Accord with the CVT. Currently has 202k on it, I've been changing the fluid about every 15k miles. Check the service history, if it's been taken care of you should get some mileage out of it.
