I'm looking for shocks for 2015 2005HD w/ 6.0 Gas motor. I was set on the Bilstein 5100 and read reviews as I was placing the order. All of the negative reviews were for exactly how I use my truck; occasional heavy towing and a lot of washboard / dirt road miles with highway in between, 40-50K a year over the past 4 years. There are many reviews of destroyed shocks within hundreds of miles.
Is going to Fox worthwhile? Are Bilstein's holding up? Am a I missing an obvious option?
Torsion bars are slightly cranked. The rear shocks are toast and I presume the fronts are as well.
