Saturday Night Special
Maybe this is newbie stuff. Sorry.
Doing a clutch on this truck. Diesel isuzu motor It has 8 big 12 point bolts holding the flywheel on. 22mm socket fits on it. Can't get flywheel off.
Ive been using one of this Milwaukee nut buster 1/2 impact (claims 1400lb breaking torque). Biggest impact we have. Couldn't break them loose.
Heated the bolt head up to around 300*, with a plumbers torch to melt loctite. Still no go.
Really don't want to heat the bolt up too much to melting the rear main seal. But need to heat the bolt head up a bit more to break the loctite. Loctite website says possible up to 500* to melt the red stuff, that seems like I'd be getting into a rear main seal job at that heat.
Advice/experience on that kind of heat on back of crank?
Or
Jam something so flywheel doesn't move and big breaker bar , still might need heat tho?
