I think ignore it until it fixes itself worked! The last couple tanks have been 15mpg, mostly city.

It started a harsh 1-2 shift since I've been driving it (mostly cold) and reverse to drive has a ~2 second lag (also cold) before it grabs. I don't know anything about these transmissions, but I've rebuilt autos before. Is this a sign of impending doom?

My '95 pathfinder (same trans) had a similar lag going in to D from park and I put a good 50-60k on it before I got a low mileage takeout from a friend' R50. The old one never actually failed but I swapped in the new one just because I had it.


I'll probably last forever. Or die next week.
