1st gen Tacoma Reg cab

Did I strike a nerve?

Post one Pic actually wheelin and I'll shut up

You'll never shut up. Your superiority complex is way too large for that to ever happen.

But let's say you're correct... there are "a million ways" to make these springs work while mounting under the frame... Outline one... Go for it. Wow the class with your superior knowledge!

Never said not to change the mounting if that's what you want to do.

Maybe try just reading what I've posted instead of being defensive.
I think his point is that due to the arch and the pack thickness that the springs won't work well in his application.

While tuff country springs are cheaper and likely "inferior" if the arch and pack thickness works better for putting the springs back under the frame, they'll likely work better.

Clearerer?

No need to help him... he's got this covered on his own. Million ways to make this work...

Why not a Ford 2wd F150 (56s?) leaf setup? Have you ever tried those? Not to shit up your thread but just curious why everyone still runs to 63s when they're a mile long. My old 84 runner had 56s out back and they were nice, but that was a 4runner also.

Picked up the 63's cheap, so it's the easy button. If I still had the set of OME Expo springs laying around, those would be going in.

Like I said, I thought this was a rock crawling forum full of people who are willing to cut things up to make them work.

First, they're too stiff, so remove leafs, this will reduce arch 🤯

French front hangers

French shackle hangers or sliders

Spua

Maybe remove the fucking block?

Or maybe just remove a few leafs and see how you like it before completely redoing everything?

Like fucks sakes

Holy hell…. Not a single one of those brilliant ideas will work…. Try again, skippy.

Next you’re going to tell us how to make a low rider with a set of super lift 12” square body springs.

Who the fuck are you to tell him how to build his shit? Ignore the spring manufacturer for a second. They're not the right part for the job. Like putting a Dana 30 in a rock bouncer.

Because this is why this forum originally was great. People post that they're doing something dumb, other people call them out.

If you want likes and fire emojis try Instagram

Irony, isle 1.

Let’s build an entire truck around a set of springs… instead of building around the needs of the truck. You’ve achieved level 15 stupidity.

I’d like to suggest you change your screen name to YotaGaryToo to better reflect your infinite wisdom and condescension

FWIW I was not impressed with my old deavers and would not run them again:flipoff2:. I now have some general spring Chevy 63s in the back because I'm a dumb poor. I do miss my all pro off-road expos with leafs pulled out, great spring, sucks they don't make them anymore.

Back to eating pop corn and watching

It's dumb to put some extra effort in to make a Superior spring work vs some gay lift springs? :lmao:

What a joke this place has become

You’re a moron.

Complaining about this being a rock crawling site and then bitching that I am not going to make a set of springs designed for go-fast desert prerunning work on this truck.

That you dare to bitch is next level hypocrisy.

So again… teach the class how to make these springs actually work on a “rock crawler.” Grace us with your wisdom!!!

Bolt in Tacoma deavers?

For what it's worth I was under the impression that All Pro Used bets spring and now trail gear uses them. I've had both and they look identical

Deavers in my dually were awesome. But they were built specifically for that application.

YotaGaryToo would be apoplectic if I had those and didn’t use them on a mini truck because “they are better!”

You should probably leave… better to go find another place than to be linked to a joke like this place….

Funny how when people can't handle an actual discussion they just resort to insults.

Quit being fucking lazy, put some effort into those leafs. You have like 14 leafs, it couldnt be easier to tune the rate in.

You can like me or not, I don't care, but you know I'm right on this.

still waiting on you to share how to make these work in a way superior to replacing them.

You claim to know… and have only thrown out BS ideas that won’t work.

You insulted the entire site and anyone who disagrees with you.

And you’re not at all correct on this. But your arrogance won’t let you admit it.

So again… explain to the class how to make these “work” and how your solution is better… given your intellectual superiority, it should be easy

Litterally post a list of how to make them work......?

It's not bs, I've done it. I took 4" all pro leafs with tons of arch and put them on my 2nd gen 4runner with a net of zero lift. Sat level with untouched ifs.

These don't even have that much arch. Ditch the blocks and pull some leafs you loose 2" right away.

while i agree with most of your sentiments, its his truck and he can do what he wants. shut up about it.

he removes the block and pulls a few leaves he is sitting on the bump stop and i bet on his shock. the entire rear setup is less than ideal, it needs to be redone, no point in polishing a turd, wipe it clean and start fresh.

Oh I really don't give a fuck what he does.

But it's a public forum, so my thought is some day some kid will be searching deavers and find this thread, so instead of him finding someone tossing them because they're lazy, maybe he will get the info he needs to make them work.

I agree. If he's going to pull blocks and leafs, he'll have to redo mounts. My thought was to pull a few leafs and see what it does before going off with the plasma.
