2000 taco with 3.4.

The heater fan works fine, but it blows luke warm air. Was like this before I replaced the heater core. One hose feeding the heater core is hot, the other hose is much cooler.

It's full of coolant.

What would cause this?

Blown head gasket. First thing I check when low heat heater issues start occurring

try this guy out, simple way to know for sure,

Is the inlet too hot to touch? like 180 Degs hot?
and does it have a thermostat in it?

Ya.. I probably should test it.

Although my mechanic buddy swears it's the blender door.

Man I don't feel like taking that heater box out again....

For now, I'm just avoiding running the taco when it's cold out. Taking the 322k mile lx470 instead

blend door stuck open?
yes. well sorta.

I removed the cable from the blend door and noticed that the door can close a bit more than the cable allows.

so for now, I'm just leaving it disconnected and enjoying a much warmer heater.

I don't think the HG is going bad, but plan on testing it anyway just to be sure.

OK, Hose is hot on one side, cold on the other....

Have you checked flow? does the heater valve on the firewall open fully?

My issue was the blend door cable won't let the door close, so I disconnected it.

Good for now.
