1994 BRONCO/CAMPER BUILD/TRANSFORMATION

Thinking about getting one of these:

With said OEM brake hoses I decided to bend the hard tube out of the way of the bleeder screw (before pic) :

Several members coached me on how to bend said tube but I was too chicken shit to try.:lmao::homer:

With the nothing-to-lose attitude; I tried.

Damn; it worked!
Bent the hard tube back and up by hand!:grinpimp:

Just ordered a rebuild kit.

I have the gear box from an AGR ram assist kit I put in my '99.5 F-350 when it's sector shaft sheered clean off.
It leaked so AGR sent me another gear box, and I forgot to send the new/leaking one back:

So said rebuild kit is for this gear box (same as Bronco gear box).
Aaaaaaaaand the spare AGR PS box takes a shit.....:mad3::mad3:
It lasted 3 months.

Pulling out of the driveway cranking the steering wheel all the way to the left.
Straighten out and begin driving forward.
Steering become very labored.
Turn around/return to driveway.
Telltale sign of PS fluid dumped on the road/down the road.

Redhead PS box for next month's project.
Body mounts project gets moved back.

I bought a rebuild kit for it a few months ago.
Since I have time; I think I'm going to tear it out and rebuild it and then re-install it.
Nothing to lose.🤷🏽‍♂️

Your replacing Crown lines with stock rubber lines? Why?
I'm tired of the leak from the pass. side and the damn hard lines up against the bleeder screws.

That said;
Since I now have said replacement hoses, and have nothing to lose, I figured I would take the suggestions of bending the hard lines up/away from the bleeder screws (I was too chicken shit before).
It worked!:smokin:
So I'm going to keep the braided hoses installed.

I did replace the banjo bolt and washers on the pass. side.

That crane is neat, but I have a hard time seeing how it would not just rip up the bed in that area?
The right way would be a big square tube bolted to the frame up through the bed with a mounting plate welded on top. We call it a torque box when making them, not sure if that's the right terminology.

Hopefully you run out of parts to change out soon
Funny you should mention that!:flipoff2:
I think I'm near.

What's kept me sane through all this is the fact I understand the Bronco is a 30y.o./260,000+ mile rig, and I'm replacing factory original parts.
I understand the parts are worn out.
I have to keep reminding myself that.

Factory original parts I haven't replaced yet (😬):
Timing chain
Fuel pump
Oil pump
Head gaskets
Fuel injectors

I'm thinking of mounting the crane base on a 4"X4"X.5" square tube future bumper.

I ordered a 91" fan belt on Am.azon.
Factory spec is 99"

I calculated if I bypass the A/C pulley it would reduce the length by 8"

With Am.azon return policy I can return it if it doesn't work and order a more proper length.
When I learned the last 3 numbers on a fan belt's part number represents it's length; it made finding a given length easy for this sub-nOOB.:grinpimp::homer:

I've probably ordered up to 20 different belts from Amazon and returned 17 of them in the past few months trying to get the right lengths for my v-belt setup since I changed to a saginaw pump and added air conditioning.. 🤣 I would order 2-3 at a time, one of them is likely to be the right one!

I thought about doing that; ordering several: 91"/91.5"/92"

If the 91" doesn't work; I'll do that.
