So to start out I bought this 4runner wrecked, and planned to use it as a daily to commute to work.

So I fixed the suspension and threw some new doors and front grill on it.

Then it started snowing and I had some take off 32’s sitting at work, so my high school self came out and I threw some ball joint spacers on it, coil spacer in the rear and a winch on the front.

I had been building my rock lizard buggy and felt like I was never going to finish it but I wasn’t going to miss another year of wheeling. So out came the torch and a long weekend!

Goal was to be as low on leafs as possible. I used Toyota main leafs with yj leafs underneath the mains, rear is still stock with a spacer. 5.29’s spooled rear.

So we finished the solid axle and regear in time for memorial weekend at moonrocks, and I had forgotten how much fun it is to wheel a rig that is not just a point and shoot rig!

Now that summer is over, I’ve got some fj springs for the rear and I’m going to beat up the links, dual cases are sitting in the shop for it along with some elockers. But with just a rear spool it did Rubicon and Fordyce the way it sits and is so much more comfortable than my old samurai!
