1966 Galaxie 500 fastback coupe

No motor/ no trans ready for swap/upgrade.

Originally a 289/C6 auto fairly rare car for the year, AC installed.

This is probably the straightest, most rust free Galaxie I've seen. There is one damaged panel below the rear window and that's it. All trim and glass is complete and undamaged. One small spot on lower rocker trim, passenger side that has scarring. Needs hood due to idiot chopping a hole for teardrop scoop, but easy to source. Hood trim is in trunk. A good sanding, some glazing filler, paint and an interior kit and this thing would really shine.

Plan was to drop in an ecoboost v6 and a 10 speed auto for 400hp and 30mpg classic cruiser. Too many builds and not enough time. My loss, your gain. Sold on bill of sale, out of DMV system.

Awesome, I'll hit him up to see where it's at. I might also have a top loader 4speed in trying to work a deal on.

I just picked up some crager 17" wheels and tires for 150 bucks in oakland. I needed some rollers asap

I'm not sure how quick they turn things over, but the truck was picked over enough that it's not long for this world:laughing:

If you find it, you might want to consider grabbing the engine or at least heads if they're good. It's my understanding that FE valve trains are getting hard to come by
 
Cool car! Is the rear 4 link and coils from the factory?
 
Parallel leafs...
I've got a couple of F.E. starters and an alternator for ya

so bench building in my head

Lq9/ls3 top end/ nasty cam/ hoping for 450hp plus at the wheels. [Already have this motor combo]
T56 transmission [currently working a trade deal]
Try to mount the body to a retired cop car P71 frame.
Keep it looking the same as you guys see in the pictures body/ paint wise.

Younger son and his friends have found lots of Crown Vics at auction. They want to buy 4 for all under $1500 each. He just flipped one, bought for like $900. Still has his OG from another auction.
 
Seems like this is turning into a build thread now?
