Figure I would show some pictures of removing a stripped screw removal from a BUL armory Ultra 3.25" 1911 slide for a coworker.

Awesome fixture I got when we closed Para USA down in Charlotte NC. This was going in the the trash so I asked if I could keep it. No telling how many slides were machined on this thing. All harden tool steel. I really need to clean it.

Drilling the top of the bolt head off to remove the sight. Would be alot easier to align in a bridgeport versus a Fadal 4020

I couldnt get a good grip on the screw so I drilled thru the middle to try to remove the pressure.

Not bad alignment for bending into the mill and hoping I centered the sucker

Glued a gauge pin inside the hole to help with removal. Screw came out easy when I gripped the screw body and the pin at same time with vice gripes.

So that jig just grabs the rails and pulls down on them?
Yep along with some centering from the domes I believe. I need to take apart for a cleaning one day to see if the domes are on springs. The pull down sections has no slop at all. Probably surface ground to a .0001 fit based on what I heard about the original owner Ted.

A feat accomplished by most skilled craftsmen incorporating the correct tooling. Wanna impress us? Do it with a 3/8" Black and Decker hand drill using burned out Harbor Freight bits with the slide handi-clamped sideways onto the kitchen table. That's where the money is at...

I wish I had a mill...

You worked for Para Ordnance? Why was my Super Hawg such a piece of shit?:flipoff2:

I have a couple of the early paras. My favorite is the P13 with a EGW tactical package done by George in the 90’s. It’s 13 rounds of joy.
