Looking for some of the common "soft 8" centers for a 17" wheel in 8x6.5" to recenter and old set of stazworks.

Looks like these

I have found a few places selling flat centers, but really don't want to go that route. I thought these wouldn't be hard to fimd, bit so far nothing on google. I have an email out to twf, but no response yet.

Any ideas?

It has been many years, but I ordered a set of 17" wheel centers from MRW before anybody was selling them.

I've always had Marsh Racing Wheels in the back of my mind as a source of custom wheels but now can't get through to anyone.

According to FB, the owner passed away. No other info

The cheapest option will probably be to pick up a set of used wheels and get cutting.

last winter i tried stockton. what a fucking joke. never could talk to anyone on the phone and no response to emails. fuck them. i would get to cutting and not look back. :grinpimp::grinpimp:

Looks like TWF has them again..... $97 though.

Those are for 16.5s

I need to get and actual ID I guess.

So the back of the wheel has a taper to it. Where I would want to weld the center in is about 16" diameter.

Can anyone verify the diameter of an H1 center?

Well I just reread what you posted.

Looks like the common pressed H1 center is for a 17" wheel, so I may just be able to get the ones I linked :homer:

Stolen from DannyK post on pbb to ad info here.

I spoke to Jan or Jen at MRW. They do not have a p/n for just the center. What I did was measure the inside of the H1 rim the best I could which I measured at 15.55". Mine are 12 bolt H1's, so 8 bolts may be different (I've heard the 12's are thicker steel than the 8's). I then asked if they had any centers with an OD of that size. The closest MRW has she said is a standard 17" wheel center that measures 15.47" OD. That is a difference of 0.080", so I figure I'll have an 0.040" gap around the outside. I read a thread some time back where someone tied weedeater string from the center hole around the OD in a few places to help 'center' the new center in the rim, then welded away. She said they sell just centers all the time. I'll test fit them and take pics when they arrive.

I think I can make these work one way or another. I may have to flip the wheel shell around, but that's not a big deal.

Just went out to the shed. H1 8x6.5 pressed center:

Thank you

That's the diameter of the current center. Unless I want like 5"+ bs, I'll probably have to flip the wheels around. Which is fine, I planned to cut the rock rings down anyway, so the only difference is that I'll have to relocate the valve stem, which is nothing.
