'04 F-150 Flatbed and Rotten Frame Repair

I clamped a piece of 1/16 to the bench and beat a bend into it, then holesawed 23 holes into it.

7/8 fine thread bolt worked great in the dimple die. Gotta find a shorter one so I don't need 40 washers.

I recessed the middle panel so if I'm hauling long stuff like 16 foot lumber I'll be able to jam it under the upper channel until I get a strap on it.

I don’t miss rust.

Turned out darned good.

I’d give it the old oil/gasoline spray from a bug sprayer treatment after hitting it with a cupped wire wheel

Drove it to work the other day and it was chugging on the hills. Dropped the trans pan and new filter/fluid and replaced the original coil packs with amazon specials. Guess I'll finally get around to doing the plugs this summer...

Sleigh works better loaded the long way.
Deck is stupid slick and loading coolers on any incline is difficult.

Happy with the amazon cargo net, it's all bungee.

Made it to the lake with no issues.

This turned out pretty nice. Especially considering you started out with a frame that looked worse than anything I’ve ever seen in person.
